The global football community gathered in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday night as FIFA hosted the 2025 edition of The Best Awards, celebrating outstanding performances across men’s and women’s football.
Paris Saint-Germain winger Ousmane Dembélé was named Best FIFA Men’s Player, while Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonmatí continued her dominance of the women’s game by winning the Best FIFA Women’s Player award for the third consecutive year.
England’s Lionesses also enjoyed a successful night, with head coach Sarina Wiegman emerging as Best FIFA Women’s Coach, and Hannah Hampton claiming the Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper award.
On the men’s side, Luis Enrique, who guided Paris Saint-Germain to Champions League glory, was crowned Best FIFA Men’s Coach, while PSG and Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma won the Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper honour.
In the individual awards category, Argentina’s Santiago Montiel claimed the FIFA Puskas Award for the best goal of the year, while Mexico’s Lizbeth Ovalle won the FIFA Marta Award for her spectacular reverse scorpion kick.
The FIFA Fair Play Award went to Andreas Harlass-Neuking, rounding off the night’s honours.
