The National President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Chinedu Okoronkwo has revealed that a task force from the association will be sent to the facilities of members this week.

Okoronkwo said on Nigeria Info’s “The Newsroom” that this is part of efforts to prevent the diversion of petroleum products.

He believes this will end the lingering fuel scarcity in the country.

While praising the direct distribution of products to independent marketers by NNPC Limited, the IPMAN president assured Nigerians that the scarcity will end soon.

“Now that the NNPC has started giving independent petroleum marketers products directly, in a matter of time all these things will disappear,” he said.

“I believe they have started, then what needs to be done next is to monitor the compliance and we are putting ourselves together to monitor the compliance and ensure products get to where they are meant for,” he added.

“All hands will be on deck."
