The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has asked Nigerians to stay calm as diplomatic tensions between Nigeria and the United States continue to spark public debate.

Idris, who spoke during a visit to Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi in Dutse, said President Bola Tinubu is “fully capable” of protecting Nigeria’s interests and fixing any strain in relations with international partners.

“President Bola Tinubu has all it takes to secure Nigeria from destabilising elements and mend any cracks in our relationship with international friends. Nigerians should remain calm,” he said in a statement released by his media aide, Rabiu Ibrahim.

The minister was in Jigawa to attend the North West 2025 Youth Pally and to present the administration’s achievements in the last two years.
