The arrests included eight armed robbery suspects, eight suspected kidnappers, three homicide suspects, 14 suspected drug dealers, and dozens of other criminal suspects involved in vehicle theft, thuggery, and drug-related offences.

According to the police boss, one victim of human trafficking was rescued during the operation.

The Police also recovered significant quantities of weapons and contraband, including one AK-47 rifle, seven locally-made guns, and 11 live ammunition rounds.

Similarly, seven motor vehicles, eight motorcycles, and large quantities of illicit drugs, including 458 wraps of dried leaves suspected to be cannabis sativa, were confiscated.

CP Ibrahim Adamu Bokori emphasised the force’s commitment to refining strategies and leveraging community collaboration, technological resources, and operational capabilities to tackle emerging security challenges.

He commended the press and law-abiding citizens for their cooperation, urging Kano residents to continue partnering with police by reporting suspicious activities to police stations or through emergency contact numbers.
