The Lagos State Government has announced alternative routes ahead of the partial closure of Kara Bridge.

Motorists heading toward Opic and Mowe are advised to plan their journeys carefully during the two week repair period.

One option is to connect from Third Mainland Bridge through Ketu to Mile 12, then link Ogolonto to Ikorodu Garage and continue via Sabo Roundabout to Isagamu Road or Itokin Road.

Another route allows motorists from Lagos Island to pass through Ilubinrin to Ijora Bridge, then access Eko Bridge to Funsho Williams Avenue, linking Ikorodu Road to Ojota and continuing through Ketu and Mile 12 toward Ikorodu Garage.

Commuters can also connect from Ikorodu Garage through Sabo Roundabout to Ogijo, then pass through Likosi and Shimawa to Lotto before heading to Mowe.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority says officials and traffic signs will be deployed along the affected corridor to guide motorists.

Authorities are urging road users to allow extra travel time and follow traffic directions to reduce congestion.
