The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria has condemned the killings in Angwan Rukuba community of Jos North Local Government Area in Plateau State, describing the attack as tragic.

President of the association, Baba Ngelzarma, expressed condolences to the victims’ families, stressing that no grievance justifies the loss of innocent lives.

He warned that the recurring violence in Plateau continues to threaten peaceful coexistence and national unity.

Ngelzarma also cautioned religious leaders against inflammatory statements, saying such remarks can worsen tensions in already fragile communities.

He urged traditional and community leaders to promote dialogue and de-escalate tensions, noting that words can either heal or deepen divisions.

The association called on security agencies to identify and prosecute those responsible, while strengthening intelligence and security presence in vulnerable areas.

Gunmen had attacked the community on Sunday, killing several residents and injuring others.
