The Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre has graduated senior and mid-level officers from its Entrepreneurship and Management Course 17/2026, aimed at preparing personnel for post-service careers.
Commandant Air Vice Marshal Nnaemeka Ilo said the 4–5-week programme equips officers with practical skills in business management and leadership.
“This training ensures a seamless transition into productive post-service life,” he said, urging participants to apply the knowledge in service and after retirement.
The course, conducted in collaboration with the Empretec Nigeria Foundation, included vocational training, site visits and exposure to entrepreneurial opportunities.
Ilo praised instructors and partners for their “dedication and professionalism” in delivering the programme.
Guest speaker, Dr. Onari Duke, wife of the former Cross River State governor, commended the participants’ resilience and encouraged them to embrace innovation.

“You have demonstrated remarkable dedication. Harness these skills and build impactful ventures,” she said.
She noted that participants, now certified under UNCTAD’s Empretec programme, were equipped with key entrepreneurial competencies to drive growth and innovation.
Both speakers urged the graduates to sustain collaboration, share ideas and remain committed to lifelong learning, stressing that the training marks the beginning of a broader journey into entrepreneurship and national development.
The ceremony highlighted the Armed Forces’ growing focus on capacity building and economic empowerment for personnel beyond active service.
