President Bola Tinubu on Saturday commissioned 874 cadets of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) into the Armed Forces of Nigeria, marking the graduation of officers from the 72 Regular Course, Short Service Course 48 (Army), Direct Short Service 33 (Air Force), and Branch Commission 2 (Air Force).

Represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio at the Passing Out Parade in Kaduna, Tinubu hailed the NDA’s role in producing disciplined and battle-ready leaders for the military.

He praised the academy for embracing technology in its training, citing innovations such as precision-guided munitions and multipurpose guided mobile robots.

The president reaffirmed his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on job creation, macroeconomic stability, poverty alleviation, and human capital development.

Tinubu urged the new officers to safeguard Nigeria’s economic and territorial interests against terrorism and insurgency, reminding them that their service symbolizes national unity.
