The Pan African Vision for the Environment (PAVE) Nigeria is leading a nationwide effort to prevent violent extremism.
Its chairman, Jaye Gaskia, says the group partners with state governments to localize national policies and create action plans through technical working groups.
“Our key priority has been supporting states to implement the Policy Framework and National Action Plan on PCVE,” Gaskia said.
“Defeating extremism requires a united effort from all levels of government and society.”
A flagship initiative is the PCVE Knowledge, Innovation, and Resource Hub, which was developed in collaboration with government and strategic partners.
Gaskia added, “Through evidence-based interventions and strengthened collaboration, we aim to build safer, more resilient communities across Nigeria.”
PAVE operates across 22 states, focusing on social cohesion, community resilience, and inclusive governance.
