The Peoples Democratic Party says there is no cause for alarm following a Federal High Court ruling in Ibadan that declined to grant an order sought against the party.

In a statement on Friday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, said the court’s decision avoided what he described as sitting on appeal over judgments of courts of coordinate jurisdiction.

Ememobong said the PDP has instructed its lawyers to file an appeal and will take all necessary legal steps to protect its position.

He insisted that the Kabiru Turaki led leadership, which emerged from the Ibadan convention, remains legally intact and unshaken while the party awaits the final pronouncement of the appellate courts.

The spokesman urged party members to remain resolute, adding that the PDP’s Rebirth Movement remains firmly on course.
