
The Social Democratic Party has expelled Former kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai for a period of 30 years.
In a statement by its national publicity secretary, Rufus Aiyenigba, the party noted that El-Rufai failed to register at his ward as required by law despite his claim on social media that he had joined SDP.
It also accused the former FCT Minister of forging the party's documents and self-registering with the membership number 001, rather than registering lawfully in his ward.
The statement noted that the SDP's National Working Committee expelled the former governor after deliberating on his controversial membership status in recent months.
