Senate Receives Second List of Ministerial Nominees

President Bola Tinubu has forwarded a second batch of 19 ministerial nominees to the Senate for screening and confirmation.

This brings the total number of ministerial nominees to 47.

The president’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, submitted the list to the President of the Senate, Gosdswill Akpabio, during plenary on Wednesday. 

Gbajabiamila was admitted into the Senate chambers during the screening of one of the 28 ministerial nominees earlier sent by the president last week Thursday 27 July.

The new nominees include:

  • Ahmed Kwaso
  • Bosun Tijanni
  • Maryam Shetty
  • Isiak Salako
  • Tunji Alausa
  • Yusuf Sununu
  • Adegboyega Oyetola
  • Atiku Bagudu
  • Bello Matawalle
  • Ibrahim Gaidam
  • Simon Lalong
  • Lola Ade-John
  • Shuaibu Audu
  • Tahir Mamman
  • Aliyu Sabi
  • Heineken Lokpobiri
  • Zephaniah Jisalo
  • Uba Ahmadu
  • and Alkali Said.

The Senate has concluded the screening of the first batch of 28 nominees sent by the president.
