The Nigerian football community is mourning the sudden death of Akin Olowokere, the assistant coach of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC).

Olowokere, who had recently joined the club's coaching staff, collapsed during the team's morning training session on Monday and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

The cause of death has not been officially released. Eyewitnesses reported that the coach slumped on the pitch and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, but efforts to save him were unsuccessful.

The Shooting Stars Sports Club released an official statement confirming the tragic news.

The club described Olowokere as a dedicated and passionate tactician who served as a mentor and father figure to the players.

The statement extended condolences to his family, friends, and the wider Nigerian football community.

Olowokere had been brought in under the new Technical Adviser, Nurudeen Aweroro, as part of the team's preparations for the new season.
