A retired Air Vice Marshal from Borno State, Abubakar Idris Adamu, has been appointed Chairman of the Military Pensions Board (MPB), effective December 1, 2025.
The appointment, approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, aims to boost transparency, accountability, and efficiency in military pension management.
A seasoned financial expert, AVM Adamu has held key roles in the Nigerian Air Force, including Director of Finance at NAF Headquarters and Managing Director of Nigerian Air Force Investment Limited.
He has also served as Directing Staff at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College and the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies.
President Tinubu charged Adamu to uphold integrity and patriotism, leveraging his financial expertise to enhance the welfare of military veterans.
The appointment reflects the Federal Government’s commitment to strengthening pension administration for the armed forces.
