President Bola Tinubu says all 38 worshippers abducted in Eruku, Kwara State, have been rescued, following heightened security operations he personally coordinated after cancelling his trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa.

The President also confirmed that 51 of the missing pupils from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Niger State had been recovered, adding he is receiving “continuous updates from the frontline.”

Tinubu vowed that his administration will not relent until every Nigerian is safe, saying, “Every Nigerian, in every state, has the right to safety and under my watch, we will secure this nation and protect our people.”

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, praised the President’s “hands-on approach,” saying Tinubu’s intervention including fresh tactical deployments to the state—was key to the rescue of the Eruku abductees.

He also thanked security agencies, community leaders and residents for their support during the operation.
