President Bola Tinubu has postponed his scheduled visit to Iperu in Ogun State and will instead travel to Jos, Plateau State, to commiserate with victims of recent attacks that claimed several lives.
The presidency said the visit is part of a four-state itinerary, with Tinubu expected to meet with the government and people of Plateau following the violence in the state capital.
After the Jos visit, the president will travel to Lagos to observe the Good Friday.
On Saturday, Tinubu will proceed to Ogun State for the commissioning of the Gateway International Cargo Airport in Iperu, alongside the inauguration of two commercial aircraft to support export and import operations aimed at boosting economic growth.
He is also expected to inaugurate the new Federal Operations Unit of the Nigerian Customs Service and its operational vehicles.
The president will return to Lagos to continue the Easter holiday, during which he will commission several infrastructure projects executed by the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The projects include an information systems building, a multi-agency complex named after the president, and a school complex.
Tinubu is also scheduled to visit Bayelsa State on April 10 to commission projects completed by Governor Douye Diri before returning to Abuja.
