Bola Ahmed Tinubu has summoned Caleb Mutfwang to Abuja following the attack in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North, which left 28 people dead.
Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, said the meeting is aimed at finding a lasting solution to the security situation in Plateau State.
He disclosed that the president had earlier met with top military and intelligence chiefs to review the situation and adopt further measures.
Security agencies, including troops under Operation Enduring Peace, were deployed to the area, where search operations are ongoing to track down those responsible.
The Federal Government says the attack does not signal a breakdown of national security but describes it as a criminal act in a volatile region.
Tinubu had earlier condemned the killings, describing them as barbaric, and directed security agencies to bring perpetrators to justice.
Meanwhile, Governor Mutfwang has imposed a 48-hour curfew on Jos North to support ongoing security operations and restore calm.
