The U.S. President, Donald Trump, has threatened military action against Iran if it fails to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours.
Trump warned that the United States would strike and destroy Iranian power plants, starting with the largest, if the waterway is not fully reopened without threats.
He said the U.S. is prepared to act swiftly to protect global energy supply routes and ensure freedom of navigation.
The ultimatum comes amid escalating tensions in the Gulf, where Iran has been accused of disrupting commercial shipping and restricting access through the vital oil transit corridor.
The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most critical chokepoints for crude oil shipments, making any disruption a major concern for global markets.
