Abuja saw the launch of a new U.S.-Nigeria Working Group on Friday, aimed at strengthening cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
The initiative was unveiled by Lt. Gen. John Brennan, deputy commander of the United States Africa Command, alongside senior Nigerian officials.
The working group will focus on counterterrorism strategies and protecting communities affected by violence and insecurity.
Officials say it will provide a platform for regular collaboration, intelligence sharing, and joint planning to tackle evolving security threats in the region.
