Here's today’s Hard Fact:

Should This Woman Sign Her Property Over To Her Fiance?

“I graduated at 20, did my NYSC, and got a job where I was paid N250,000 monthly. I was my parents’ lastborn, and my elder ones are doing well, so no one disturbs me for money. At my workplace, real estate agents came and briefed us about land issues, and how we can pay instalmentally, which I agreed to do. It worked. It took me 2 years to finish the payment, and with God’s grace, I have about 8 2-room-and-parlor self-con. I’m 28 years old, and about to marry. Traditional marriage fixed for 28th December. We had a date 2 Sundays ago, where we discussed and opened up about ourselves and our secrets. That was when I told him I have a house with 8 tenants in it. I can tell from his expression he was surprised. He told me he has none, but was working towards it. He has a car, lives in a rented 3-bedroom apartment, and is comfortable. But why I am writing this to you is that yesterday night my man-to-be called requested that after marriage the deed of my house should be transferred to his name, the account number to pay house rent should be his account and that this is how a woman should be under a man. I found it strange, but at the same time, I don’t want to sound feminist to him. Please only the introduction has been done. If I am going to get married to him, how do I convince him it is not possible?” END QUOTE.
