Tinubu Promises Jobs, Education, Skills Development, Says Ibom Deep Seaport Is Approved

President Bola Tinubu has promised improved education, skills development, job opportunities and economic growth, while announcing approval of the Ibom Deep Seaport project during an All Progressives Congress presidential campaign rally in Akwa Ibom State.

Addressing supporters at the rally, Tinubu urged eligible voters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards and participate in the election, describing the PVC as their most important tool for choosing the country’s leadership.

“The weapon you have is the PVC. If you have not collected, please go ahead and collect your PVC,” he said.

The president appealed to residents to support his administration, promising what he described as a better future through development, education, vocational skills and job creation.

He also spoke about the economic potential of the state’s agricultural resources, particularly palm produce, saying there were opportunities to create economic value from them.

Tinubu further highlighted the Ibom Deep Seaport project, telling the crowd that it had been approved and would bring economic benefits and development to Akwa Ibom State.

“It's approved. It will bring economic value and development to Akwa Ibom State,” he said, after asking supporters whether they would vote for the project.

The president also made a comparison between his response to coastal challenges in Lagos and Peter Obi’s handling of erosion in Anambra State, saying he had confronted the Atlantic Ocean.

Tinubu urged supporters to vote for him, expressing confidence in securing a second term.
