BREAKING: Bola Tinubu Emerges APC Presidential Candidate

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu has been declared the presidential candidate of the party for the 2023 elections.

The former Governor of Lagos State polled 1,271 votes in the party’s presidential primary at Eagle Square, Abuja on Wednesday to defeat 11 other aspirants.

The former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi came a distant second with 316 votes, while Vice President Yemi Osinbajo polled 235 votes.

Here are the votes secured by the other presidential aspirants:

Yahaya Bello - 47 votes
Dave Umahi - 38 votes
Ben Ayade - 37 votes
Ahmad Rufai Sani - 4 votes

Tein Jack
-Rich - 0 votes

At the end of the vote count, the Chairman of the Election Management Committee, Governor Atiku Bagudu declared Bola Tinubu as the APC’s presidential candidate.
