Muhammadu Buhari has sent a celebratory message to veteran actor, Olu Jacobs who turns 80 on Monday, 11 July.
The message was released Sunday and signed by the president’s spokesman, Femi Adesina.
President Buhari said Mr. Jacob’s birthday called for thanksgiving.
He praised the actor for his influence on the film industry, and for setting a standard of professionalism.
The president noted Mr. Jacobs’ ingenious ability to interpret roles, simplify complex issues and bring messages to the understanding of both young and old.
The actor’s ability in leveling out cultural, ethnic, and religious barriers to becoming a household wasn’t left out in President Buhari’s message.
He prayed to God to grant the actor better health, longer life, and steadfastness.
