Football star David Beckham is set to be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, marking a major milestone in his post-playing career spanning sport, entertainment, and global influence.
The ceremony is scheduled for June 12 on Hollywood Boulevard, where Beckham will be officially inducted into the Walk of Fame’s Sports Entertainment category.
The recognition places him among a select group of athletes who have been honoured for their wider cultural impact beyond sport.
According to organisers, Beckham was selected for his long-standing career achievements, contributions to sport, and his influence in raising the profile of football—particularly in the United States, where he has played a key role in promoting the game through Major League Soccer.
His wife, Victoria Beckham, will feature prominently at the ceremony and is expected to serve as one of the guest speakers.
Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, a close friend of the couple, is also scheduled to take part in the event.
Beckham, 51, will become the 2,849th recipient of a Hollywood Walk of Fame star, joining an elite list of global entertainers and sports figures.
The honour comes amid a series of major recognitions for the former England captain, who was knighted by King Charles last year for his services to sport.
