Kelechi Iheanacho scored the decisive goal as Celtic F.C. secured a 2–1 victory over Hibernian F.C. at Easter Road on Sunday.

The result keeps Celtic’s Scottish Premiership title push firmly on track.

Hibernian were reduced to ten men in the 21st minute after Jamie McGrath was shown a red card, giving Celtic an early advantage.

Celtic made their dominance count just before half-time, with Daizen Maeda finishing from close range in the 43rd minute.

Despite being a man down, Hibernian responded in first-half stoppage time, as Joe Newell equalised to send both sides into the break level.

Iheanacho was introduced in the 70th minute and made an immediate impact, scoring the winning goal just two minutes after coming on.

The strike was his seventh across all competitions for Celtic this season.

Celtic, managed by Martin O’Neill, remain second in the table, level on points with leaders Heart of Midlothian F.C., who have a game in hand.
