The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of original result slips for candidates who sat the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
In a statement issued on Wednesday by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the board said candidates can now print their original result slips, which contain important details required for admission processing into tertiary institutions.
According to JAMB, the document includes candidates' photographs, national rankings and other security features needed for post-UTME screening and admission consideration by universities, polytechnics and other higher institutions.
The board advised candidates to carefully verify the information on their result slips after printing and keep copies for future admission-related processes.
JAMB noted that the release of the slips will facilitate post-UTME registration and admission exercises for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Meanwhile, the board and heads of tertiary institutions have agreed on timelines for the conclusion of admissions for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Under the arrangement, public universities are expected to conclude admissions by October 31, private universities by November 30, while other tertiary institutions are to complete their admission processes by December 31.
JAMB also warned that institutions that fail to conclude admissions within the stipulated period risk losing access to candidates on the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).
The board further stated that candidates will have a four-week window to either accept or reject admission offers, adding that unaccepted admissions may be deleted upon the request of the admitting institution.
