Over the weekend, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) pledged to upload the results of the governorship elections in Imo, Kogi, and Bayelsa live on iREV.
The pledge is coming amid doubts over the commission’s sincerity and capability following the outcome of the 25 February Presidential Election.
The electoral umpire failed to upload the result of that vote from multiple polling units on time on iREV despite promising to do the same just two days before the election.
That failure is one of the grounds for the People’s Democratic Party and the Labour Party’s challenges to the election result.
The governorship polls in Imo, Kogi, and Bayelsa are billed for 11 November.
