The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu has paid a thank-you visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House in Abuja.

During the visit, he pledged to sustain President Buhari’s legacies if he’s elected president in 2023, and also commended the president for being neutral during the APC presidential primary.

“He promised the whole country and the world that he will build a legacy of transparency and consistency; legacy of a level-playing ground for all the aspirants. He will be committed to democratic principles and values and he did so,” Asiwaju Tinubu said of Buhari.

“He didn’t endorse anybody, he didn’t impose anybody, he did not, at any time, attempt to tinker with the process of this election to favour one tribe or the other.

He was steadfast, he was trustworthy, he was dependable, he was a leader.

“I won’t tell you that. That is my right, it’s in my pocketbook, he said.

Asiwaju Tinubu was accompanied on the visit by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the CEO of Oando Group, Wale Tinubu.

He was also at Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s residence on an unscheduled visit.

The visit came a few hours after the Vice President who was the second runner-up at the APC presidential primary released a congratulatory message in honour of Tinubu’s victory at the primary.

In the message, Professor Osinbajo lauded the “passion, patriotism, courage, and determination” shown by Asiwaju Tinubu in the cause of nation-building.
