Widow Cries Out to Wike Over Alleged N70m Illegal House Sale in Apo

A controversy is rocking Supercell Estate in Apo District, FCT, as a widow battling cancer, Mrs. Sandra Onuora, has appealed to FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike to intervene following the alleged illegal sale of her late husband's property to a prominent local pastor.

Mrs. Onuora accuses the Managing Director of Supercell Estate, Alhaji Idris Shuaibu, and the estate administrator, Uchenna Duru, of conspiring to sell her uncompleted home to Bishop David Ogudu, General Overseer of Christos International Worship Centre, for N70 million, defying an existing FCT High Court order.

According to Mrs. Onuora, the strategically located property is the primary inheritance left by her late husband, Eugene Onuora, for her and her children.

She recounted that earlier in May 2026, the estate administrator attempted to pressure her into accepting N70 million to give up the property, warning her that refusal would result in the forfeiture of the home.

"Mr. Uchenna told me they have a buyer offering N70m and said I should collect the money and walk away because I can’t fight Alhaji Idris Shuaibu.

 "I declined his offer and told him that the house is for family use, not for sale," she explained.

She noted that despite her refusal and an active FCT High Court order prohibiting transactions or work on the disputed property, the estate management allegedly finalized the sale to Bishop Ogudu.

Mrs. Onuora further alleged that Bishop Ogudu, who already owns three other properties in the estate, moved swiftly to take possession by stripping the roof off the building and starting reconstruction with the backing of estate security.

She claimed the estate management and the buyer actively bypassed legal checks.

It was gathered laborers working on the disputed building were allegedly instructed to flee whenever police officers visited the site.

According to her, over N20 million worth of building materials - including floor tiles, electrical wiring, kitchen equipment, and sanitary fittings left by her late husband were discovered missing from the gated compound.

The widow questioned how such materials could vanish from a secured estate without the knowledge or involvement of the estate management.

Desperate for justice while dealing with severe health challenges, Mrs. Onuora called on Minister Wike and relevant security agencies to step into the matter, uphold the court’s order, stop ongoing construction, and protect vulnerable widows from arbitrary land grabbing in the FCT.
