The land dispute between the Shangisha Landlord Association and the Magodo Residents’ Association is not easing soon.

This is because the Shangisha Landlord Association have stated that it will also claim lands that have been occupied in Magodo Phase 2 estate.

Recall that there was unrest at Magodo Phase 2 Estate in Lagos, on Tuesday, when dozens of police officers and officers of the Shangisha Landlord Association invaded the estate to execute a Supreme Court judgment mandating the Lagos State Government to give back 549 plots to them; original owners of the area.

The association says that the state government “forcefully took” parcels of land in Magodo belonging to them from 1984 through 1986.

The counsel to the Shangisha Landlord Association who was speaking on the Daily Digest with Jimi Disu, also explained how this judgement all played out and solutions to the crisis.
